Recipe

From Peace Lutheran Church Cookbook
Ham Potato Bake
2 (15 or 16 oz) can sliced potatoes
2 medium carrots, shredded
11/2 c cubed fully cooked ham
1 (10 3/4 oz) cream of mushroom soup
1/2 c shredded sharp or mild American cheese
1/4 c milk
1 Tbsp instant minces onion
1/8 t pepper
3/4 c soft bread crumbs
1/2 c shredded sharp or American cheese
1 Tbsp melted butter or margarine
Layer half potatoes and half carrots in 2 quart casserole.
Stir together cubed ham, mushroom soup, the 1/2 c cheese,
milk, minced onion, and pepper. Pour half ham mixture
over potatoes and carrots in casserole. Repeat layers.
Combine bread crumbs, the 1/2 c cheese, and melted butter
sprinkle over casserole. Bake, uncovered at 350 till heated
 through, about 45 minutes. Garnish with parsley springs
if desired. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
