This book is part two of a three
part series and follow Part 1: Biographies
and Regimental Statistics. Its picks up
where Part 1 ends with the Staff and
Company Information, including over
250 photographs. Part 2 is an intimate
firsthand record of events in the citizen-
soldiers' uncensored words, including
those offensive to our modern ear,
drawn from letters, diaries, newspaper
accounts, military reports, memoirs,
and out-of-copyright books, covering
the formation of the regiment unto the
first battle. It will be followed by
Part 3: Battles & Provost Guard Duty.
